SUSAN'S FULL STORY

Due to large fibroids, heavy bleeding, and anemia, I decided to have a hysterectomy. At first I was told that due to the size of the fibroids, my only choice was to have a large incision with a six-week recovery. When I learned about the da Vinci Surgery, I decided to pursue that option.

I was extremely happy with the results. I spent 1 night in the hospital. A few days later, I was able to attend activities & get back in my normal routine. I had some pain from sore muscles/bruising for the first 2-3 days. After that, I felt great. Recovery was easy. The scars are small.

While clinical studies support the effectiveness of the da VinciĀ® System when used in minimally invasive surgery, individual results may vary. Surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System may not be appropriate for every individual. Always ask your doctor about all treatment options, as well as their risks and benefits.
