ROBIN'S FULL STORY

I have had fibroids for a long time, as well as endometriosis. I am infertile due to these conditions. When my fibroids had gotten to a point where I could not urinate for 2 weeks of the month, due to a large fibroid sitting on my urethra, I had had enough. My gynecologist (who does conventional hysterectomy) referred me to Dr. Mourad for da Vinci Surgery to remove my uterus due to it being a less invasive procedure. Dr Mourad was able to leave my ovaries intact. He showed photos to him of before and after. That was really great. One of the four incisions felt tender. Other than that, I have had no pain or discomfort that some ibuprofen did not take care of. I went home from the hospital the same day I had surgery. My entire time in the hospital after surgery was 9 hours. I can sit, stand, walk, and sleep comfortably. I plan to rest for the full week, although, even 3 days after surgery I feel fine. Four more days of rest, and I will be 100%. I would recommend this option to any woman who has been told she needs to have her uterus removed. Went exactly as I was told and I feel I made a wise choice.
