THE BIGGEST CONCERNS I HAD ABOUT TREATMENT:
My biggest concern was the use of robotic instruments

WHY I CHOSE DA VINCI SURGERY:
Doctor recommendation. I trust Dr. Stevenson. After he explained the procedure and the reduction in recovery time., I felt that the da Vinci Hysterectomy procedure was the best option for me.

HOW LONG I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL:
1 day

MY PAIN AND/OR DISCOMFORT LEVEL:
I experienced no pain or discomfort.

ABOUT MY RECOVERY TIME:
It's been two weeks as of yesterday (8-19-09), since I had surgery. I feel better each day. I laid around and rested for the first couple of days. Other than moving around cautiously, I was back in the normal routine after a few days. I did, however, limit my lifting (per instructions). There has been a noticeable difference in the way I feel daily.

WHEN I RETURNED TO NORMAL ACTIVITIES:
After a week, I felt that I could resume my normal activities. It's been two weeks, and I feel great! It even appears that I will have little or no scarring, once the incisions fully heal.

ABOUT MY SURGEON AND/OR FACILITY STAFF:
Dr. Stevenson always shows great concern and care. That has been my experience. Everyone was very attentive to my needs and concerns.

HOW DA VINCI SURGERY COMPARED TO MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES OR PRECONCEPTIONS OF SURGERY:
No comparison. I was shocked at the level of pain (or lack thereof). I would highly recommend this procedure to anyone who needs to have a hysterectomy or other related surgery.

I WOULD RECOMMEND DA VINCI SURGERY TO MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS!
